CAT 2024 is conducted for admission to professional and non-professional programmes conducted by Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). Candidates seeking admission in these courses at Cochin University of Science and Technology will have to register online for the CUSAT CAT exam.

CUSAT CAT 2024 Application Fee: For State Merit /All India Quota seats application fee will be for a maximum of two test codes is Rs 1200 and for Kerala SC/ Kerala ST will be Rs 600. For each additional test code, 500/- for general candidates and Rs 250 for KSC/KST candidates. International candidates need to pay 110 USD. For PhD Programmes: 1200 for general and 600 Kerala SC/ST Candidates. For more details about the CAT 2024 application fee, applicants can go through official prospectus.

All India Quota Seats: 50% of General category seats in postgraduate programs (except M.Tech.) at CUSAT are reserved under the All India Quota. Both Keralites and non-Keralites can apply.

CUSAT CAT 2024 Application form – How to apply

A huge number of candidates apply every year for CUSAT CAT. For most of courses application process is online. For admissions to Ph.D./PDF/Diploma /Certificate programmes in CUSAT, application form of these programmes are to be obtained from the respective Department. The candidates who seek admissions to UG/PG programmes in CUSAT should apply for CAT by following steps below:

Registration will start on 27th January 2024

  • Log on to official website i.e. admissions.cusat.ac.in
  •  The first step is registration; enter mandatory fields and submit details. An activation link will be sent to the email address provided.
  • Navigate to that link and complete your application filling process. 
  • Step 3: Upload a photo of 150px X 180px and a signature of 130px X 57px.
  • Step 4: Select the program you are applying to, like B.Tech. / Integrated M.Sc. / BBA LL.B / B.Com. LL.B / B.Voc. programmes.
  • Step 5: Make Payment
  • Step 6: Centre selection
  • Make sure you keep a print copy of the filled application for further reference.

CUSAT CAT 2024 Eligibility

12 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English and PCM average of at least 60% marks and a minimum of 50% for Mathematics alone. Applicants must pass English at 10th or 12th Standards with 50% marks. For Instrumentation & Technology, 55% in the Mathematics is required. MBA Applicants :Candidates with a valid KMAT/CMAT/CAT(IIM)Score can apply for MBA programmes.

CAT Exam Pattern

CAT is a three-hour test that consists of 225 objective-type MCQs based on the Plus Two syllabus. Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry will contribute 90, 75, and 60 questions, respectively.
Test for B.Tech.LET. Programme: This exam consists of 200 objective-type questions. It includes 20 questions on English, 50 questions on Mathematics, 40 questions on Engineering Mechanics, 40 questions on Engineering Graphics, and 50 questions on General Engineering. The duration of the test is 3 hours, and the maximum marks that can be obtained are 600.
